Football coach Hoke says, 'We will always be about the team'
Brady Hoke fielded a lot of questions Wednesday during a press conference introducing him as U-M's new football coach. His answers contained the themes of accountability, character, toughness, and — above all — team.

Growth on U-M campus is up, but energy use is down, report shows
While U-M grew last year at a rapid 8-percent clip, its aggressive sustainability efforts simultaneously have cut normalized energy use by 4 percent, water use by 3 percent and resulted in a decrease in per-person trash levels of nearly 5 percent, according to the institution's Sustainability Annual Report.

Flu cases appearing; vaccination still effective and available
With the first few cases of influenza starting to appear locally, U-M Chief Health Officer Dr. Robert Winfield stresses that it still is not too late to get vaccinated against the flu.

Professor on German high court
Susanne Baer, one of the Law School’s five William W. Cook Global Law Professors and a U-M alumna, has been elected to the German Federal Constitutional Court. She will serve a 12-year non-renewable term on Germany's top court, which handles several thousand cases a year. She is expected to continue her relationship with the Law School during her term.
