Law School is top producer of summer service participants
Equal Justice Works, a nonprofit dedicated to assuring disadvantaged people access to quality legal representation, recently named 41 Michigan Law students members of its Summer Corps — more recipients than any other school. The AmeriCorps-funded program's goal is expanding the reach of the organizations that help deliver legal help to low-income or otherwise disadvantaged areas of the country.

U-M changing antivirus software to Microsoft
The license for McAfee VirusScan, the U-M antivirus application for Windows computers, expires next year and will not be renewed. Information and Technology Services recommends replacing VirusScan with one of two Microsoft antivirus products: Microsoft Security Essentials or Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection.

Sensing opportunity in climate change
Alumna Nuyi Tao used to be a financial specialist at a commercial bank in her native China. Now she's a senior carbon finance specialist at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., using the expertise and lessons learned at the Frederick A. and Barbara M. Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise to build a business case for sustainable development, particularly as it relates to energy and climate change.
