U-M neurologist testifies about sports concussions

Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher (second from left), associate professor of neurology and director of Michigan NeuroSport, was among those testifying before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation on Wednesday. He spoke about sports-related concussions and the marketing of sports equipment as anti-concussion or concussion-reducing. Also testifying was former Wolverine quarterback Steven Threet (left), who transferred to Arizona State but ended his football career earlier this year, citing the effects of concussions.
