East Hall to reopen Thursday after being closed due to power outage

East Hall will be open for classes and normal activities on Thursday after being closed for much of today due to a power outage.

Diane Brown, public information officer for the Department of Public Safety, said there was an electrical situation that caused many Central and South campus buildings to experience a power bump around 10:05 a.m. Several buildings on Central Campus lost power.

Although power was restored to most buildings by noon, a substation in East Hall required repairs, Brown said. Those repairs were completed this evening.

The following ECON Wednesday evening exams have been relocated:

• ECON 102 section 100: 6-8 p.m. in 1324 East Hall – now held in 1400 Modern Languages Building (AUD 4 MLB).

• ECON 102 section 100 – extra time: 6-10 p.m. in 1068 East Hall – now held in 260 Dennison Building.
