Special parking regulations in place for busy Saturday at U-M

The Athletics Department will have special parking regulations and services in place Saturday to accommodate fans during one of its busiest non-stop days of athletic competition.

Five sporting events staggered throughout the day and the airing of ESPN's College Basketball GameDay Show at Crisler Center will make for a congested parking situation on the athletics campus.

Fans who will be attending an event Saturday are asked to review the parking situation for that event below and plan accordingly.

ESPN College Basketball GameDay Show, 10 a.m.-Noon (Crisler Center)

Parking: Fans are encouraged to park in the Blue Lot around Crisler Center

ESPN College Basketball GameDay will broadcast live from Crisler Center starting at 10 a.m. on ESPNU before moving to ESPN from 11 a.m. to noon. Fans can begin lining up at 5 a.m. The doors at Crisler (Gates A, C and D) will open at 7:30 a.m. Cars parked in the Lower Blue Lot without a men's basketball permit must be removed by 5 p.m.

Silverston Track and Field Invitational, 10 a.m. (U-M Indoor Track Building)

Parking: Fans are asked to park in the Lower Blue Lot

Parking for guests with a disability: Fans with a disability may park in the Grey Lot

The meet is expected to finish around 4:30 p.m. Cars parked in the Lower Blue Lot without a men's basketball permit must be removed by 5 p.m.

Men's Tennis vs. Notre Dame, 3 p.m. (Varsity Tennis Center)

Parking: Patrons are encouraged to park in the Brown Lot adjacent to the tennis complex

Ice Hockey vs. Northern Michigan, 5:05 p.m. (Yost Ice Arena)

Men's Gymnastics vs. Ohio State and SUNY Brockport, 7 p.m. (Cliff Keen Arena)

Grey Lot: Available for ice hockey permit holders or cash sales ($10) starting at 2:30 p.m.

Blue Lot: Not available for ice hockey parking because of men's basketball game

Suggested Lots: Fans without an ice hockey permit are encouraged to park in the following University Lots — Coliseum (SC9), Elbel Field (SC38), East side of Greene Street (SC12, SC13, SC14). The Thompson Street parking structure will be available at 3 p.m.

Shuttle from Thompson Street Parking Structure: A free shuttle service will run with pick up/drop-off locations on the Division Street side of the Thompson structure and outside of Revelli Hall on Hoover Street. The buses will begin running at 4 p.m. and will stop at 9:30 p.m.

Men's Basketball vs. Ohio State, 9 p.m. (Crisler Center)

Parking: The normal lots surrounding Crisler Center and Michigan Stadium will be secured by 5 p.m. for permit parking.
