Regents approve plans for nursing school building

This schematic drawing shows an exterior view of the new building for the School of Nursing. The Board of Regents approved the plans for the new 75,000-gross-square-foot building on Thursday. The estimated cost of the new building project is $50 million, and it is the first building in School of Nursing history created specifically to support academic programming. It will include instructional spaces, a clinical learning center with simulation and skill labs, and simulated patient suites. The building site will be located near the existing location of the School of Nursing at 400 N. Ingalls St. The project was designed by the architectural firm of RDG Planning and Design.
