U-M installs water refill stations, supports use of reusable bottles
Beginning this fall, students, faculty and staff can refill their reusable water bottles on campus at more than 100 drinking fountains equipped with a refill device. Additionally, all incoming first-year students will be given a reusable water bottle. The measures are part of an effort to reduce the number of plastic bottles discarded on campus.

Parking and athletic officials ask that lots be cleared for football weekends
As U-M prepares to kick off the 2012 home football season Saturday, Parking & Transportation Services and the Athletic Department are asking employees to park all personal and university vehicles at off-site locations away from Michigan Stadium starting at 11 p.m. Friday prior to home football games.

A career in law is about making sure people follow the rules. Singing in a rock 'n' roll band, on the other hand, is all about rebellion. The two meet in the person of LSA alumna Nicole Laurin-Walker. By day she’s a judge in Maricopa County, Ariz. But by night she goes by the stage name Nicole Laurenne, the head-turning lead singer of The Love Me Nots, based in Phoenix.
