The 30-second video will be seen nationally for the first time during the television broadcast of the Michigan-Notre Dame football game Saturday night. In the coming months, a 60-second version of the video will be presented through various U-M social media channels, including YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

The video features images of a number of students that highlight U-M's academic and athletic excellence.

"We were really overdue to develop a new PSA for use during athletic broadcasts," says Lisa Rudgers, vice president for global communications and strategic initiatives, noting that the 30-second PSA is just part of a broader U-M video effort.

The video is just one piece of the student-led Maize Out, Lights On Pep Rally that will feature coaches, student athletes, student performers and others. The rally is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. More information is available on the Student Life website and on Facebook.
